Recipes
Ready-made setups for common tasks. Each recipe lists only the settings you change; everything else can stay at its default value. Adjust prompts, models and numbers to your project.
Unique news posts rewritten by AI
Goal: a news site that publishes full, rewritten articles with an illustration and SEO meta instead of copied excerpts.
- Accounts: add the API key of your AI provider, for example Anthropic or OpenRouter.
- Advanced tab: set Extract full-text articles to Use Full-Text RSS script, or to Use custom settings with the tag that wraps the article on the source site.
- Post templates tab, set Template processing order to content, title, excerpt and use:
Post content
[ai_generate engine="anthropic-claude-sonnet-4-6" max_tokens="4000" prompt="Rewrite the following news article as an original piece for our readers. Keep all facts, names and numbers. Use h2 subheadings and short paragraphs. Return clean HTML without the title: %post_content%"]Post title
[ai_generate engine="openai-gpt-4o-mini" prompt="Write a catchy news headline (max 70 characters, no quotes) for this article: %post_content_notags[300]%"]Meta description
%gpt_prompt[Summarize this article in one sentence of up to 150 characters, no quotes: %post_content_notags[300]%]% - Media enrichment tab: choose a Generator, set Image position to Above content and use
%gpt_image_prompt%as the prompt. - Media handling tab: tick Store images locally, set Convert PNG images to WebP and Post thumbnails to Create from first post image.
Use %post_content_notags% instead of %post_content% in prompts that do not need the HTML, and the shortened %post_content_notags[300]% for titles and descriptions. Fewer input tokens, same result.
Long articles from headlines
Goal: use a feed only as a source of topics and let AI write a complete multi-section article for each one.
Post content template:
[gpt_article topic="%post_title%" engine="openai-gpt-4o" sections="5" heading="h2" directives="Format the text for a WordPress post using only p, ul, li and em tags. Write for beginners."]
[gpt_article] first asks the model for a list of section titles, then writes each section with the previous text as context. Add structure="Section 1: Introduction; Section 5: FAQ" to fix parts of the outline. See [gpt_article] for all parameters. If your AI provider limits requests per minute, set a Delay: it is applied between sections too.
Product XML feed to WooCommerce
Goal: create WooCommerce products from a supplier’s XML file like this one:
<product>
<name>Trail Runner X2</name>
<price currency="USD">129.95</price>
<picture>https://shop.example.com/x2.png</picture>
<specs>Weight 280 g, drop 6 mm, waterproof upper</specs>
</product>
- Basic tab: Post type
product, tick Categories to WooCommerce and Tags to WooCommerce if the feed has categories or tags. - Post templates tab:
Post title:
%xml_tags[name]%Post content:
<img src="%xml_tags[picture]%" alt="%xml_tags[name]%"> [ai_generate prompt="Write a persuasive 150-word product description for %xml_tags[name]%. Specs: %xml_tags[specs]%. Return HTML paragraphs only."] - Advanced tab, Custom fields:
price->_price price->_regular_price price:currency->price_currency - Media handling tab: tick Store images locally and set Post thumbnails to Create from first post image.
- Optional: set a Post lifetime in hours so outdated products are deleted automatically.
Video blog from a YouTube channel
- Add the channel page URL, such as
https://www.youtube.com/@channel, or its feed URLhttps://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=.... - RSS Retriever puts the video link and the video description into the post. WordPress turns the link into an embedded player.
- To give the page real text, add an article under the video in the Post content template:
%post_content% [gpt_article topic="%post_title%" sections="3" heading="h2"] - Media handling tab: Post thumbnails set to Create from first post image. When a post has no image, RSS Retriever uses the poster frame of an embedded YouTube video.
One feed in several languages
Add the same feed once per language, assign a WPML or Polylang language and a translation target to each copy. The full setup is described on the Multilingual sites page.
Credit the source
Add a link to the original article below every post with the Post content template:
%post_content%
<p>Source: <a href="%link%" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">%link%</a></p>
Or let the post titles link to their sources with the Link to source option.
A fixed prefix and random variations
Prepend text to every title and vary it with Spintax (tick Parse Spintax):
{Breaking|Just in|Today}: %post_title%
